The refs hate Baltimore

Sunday when we played against Arizona Yamon Figurs returned a kick for a TD and jumped into the crowd. He got flagged with a celebration penalty. That puzzles me when in Green Bay it's accepted as a celebration. Last night when Reggie Bush got into the end zone he leaped into the crowd and no penalty was called. I know we are the thugs of football, but the rules should be the same for everyone.

Football Rant

Well actually my blog is going to involve a lot of bitching because that's what I am good at. Since this is football season most of my blogs will center around football.

First I am glad the Baltimore Ravens won despite Brian Billeck. That past games he has gotten away from the run too much. He's trying to make us into a passing team. HELLO!! We don't have a proven deep threat. Demetrius Williams is up and coming, but he needs a decent quarterback to throw him the ball. Lets face it Steve McNair is in old man injury mode and Kyle Boller is Kyle Boller inconsistent, telegraphs all of his passes and clumsy as hell. I think Brian Billeck and Kyle Boller have a love affair going because I don't understand why he got a year added to his contract. I just don't understand why we have always run the ball and relied on our defense why are we passing so much? Oh and Kurt Warner ripping through our defense like this old Superbowl Kurt is ridiculous. I'm still a fan, but I'm not happy.

Okay, I want to talk about Donavon McNabb. First let me say in some ways he is right about the comments about black quarterbacks, but I think people would have respected his opinion more if he had of said this when he was doing good last year, but saying it now when you are struggling comes off as whining. You can't have it both ways. When is the last time you have seen a star white running back? White guys would have to go above and beyond to get a starting job as a running back. Wide receiver is another position that mostly consists of blacks. You can't in one breathe complain about fairness, but in the next breathe have no problems with other positions being all black. I know people will call me a Uncle Tom because I am black saying this, but this is my observation. McNabb had a great game as his saving grace, but believe me if another losing streak comes the race card will be played again.
